Is chewing gum actually detrimental to your health? Many reports call gum a great way to ease stress and claim that the saliva released when gum is chewed kills bacteria in the mouth. However, there are those who claim that chewing gum causes irreparable damage to the stomach lining. Any thoughts?

Fidgeters

 Fidgeters can find chewing gum, because some people need physical movement and chewing is a lot less irritating than fiddling with a ruler or clicking a pen.

gum is mainly bad

Although good for bad breath (and therefore self-esteem?) it is bad for stomach (acid) and also wears away enamel on teeth, which leads to sensitivity.
