I have to say I am disappointed with the iPad, which is essentially a large iphone. Steve Jobs made a big thing about how cheap it was, yet the cheaper models lack useful amounts of storage (Mr Jobs claims that we will be watching 10 hours of video on the iPad, which by my guestemate is around 12GB, making the bottom end 16GB device look paltry) and without 3G will not be a credible mobile internet device. Thus you must fork out for a $829 device then you need a case, dock, software so you looking at $1000 just to get stared and then $30 / month in 3G connection that’s $1360 in the first year!

The iPad has no GPS or multitasking functionality, which wile just acceptable on the iphone a device that size should have a fully fledged OS.

I have a Tablet PC (Lenovo X61T) with windows 7, and although it is heaver, has less battery and only single rather than multitouch and cost about the same at a top end iPad. It also is a fully functioning computer, i can use all day every day. It has handwriting recognition and speech recognition; I have 160GB hard disk which will store all my data. And I can plug other device into my tablet, if you've working on the iPad as Mr Jobs envisions, how do you get your data off to a printer or other device? You’ll have to sync it with your second computer or email it, that’s just backward.

Apple made a  big deal about the iPad being a eBook reader, however we have already established that reading off a back lit screen stain the eyes, so why would I read on an iPad when I could have a Amazon Kindle for a fraction of the price. (not to mention that the kindle has a free data plan for life.)

I was hoping for apple to make the same step improvement in the Tablet market as they did in the phone market, unfortunately they have created a new category of device that nobody asked for, and nobody can afford.
